With your commitment, Acne Bootcamp is a 3-6 month process designed to clear your skin AND keep it clear. You commitment includes using only Face Reality Acne-Safe prescribed products (custom routine designed for your skin type), changes to diet/lifestyle/make-up/etc. that could be contributing to breakouts, and an agreed upon system between you & your acne expert for virtual or in-person check-ins every 2 weeks.

A close relationship with your acne expert will be formed as we will be in-touch anytime a routine change or alteration is needed, a biweekly meeting to discuss possible routine changes, and continued support after your skin is clear to keep it clear & begin anti-aging focus.

Acne can take up to 90 days to form, meaning it can take up to 90 days to stop breakouts. The acne product protocol & routine we select for you is designed to get your acne under control in 3 - 6 months (depending on the severity of your acne).

The biggest contribution to getting clear will be following your specific at-home skincare routine. AM & PM routine is expected. Biweekly check-ins are necessary for determining changes to routine such as increasing product use, altering or adding in a new product, and more. This is how we clear your skin & keep it clear. If your skin gets used to certain products, they may not continue to remain as effective.

Your Home Care routine will be decided upon your first visit & in-depth consultation.

Your initial consultation will include discussion of your skin & acne type as well as a sensitivity test for your skin. This allows your acne expert to decide what products are right for you.

After that, we will send you home with lots of new information, products, a printed out step-by-step routine, extra tips & lifestyle modifications or adjustments.

Home Care is completed once every AM & PM. Adjustments are made to home care at the biweekly check-ins/treatments when and if necessary.

Adjustments may be increasing a serums use or strength, adding a hydrating serum or toner, thinking about other possible products, and more.

Biweekly check-ins whether in-person or virtually are necessary to not stall your progress. If you cannot make a meeting you must contact your acne expert to reschedule.

Treatments are typically done every 2-4 weeks for patients depending on the acne type, severity, and patient budget & lifestyle. We understand many of our patients may be away at college, have packed schedules, and more. We want to accommodate all of our patients while also giving them the best possible chance at clearing their skin as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Treatment schedule will be agreed upon during initial consultation & may be subject to change at biweekly check-ins.

Treatments include:

• mild corrective peels used to boost results (only used if skin is not dry/irritated/ ready)

• enzyme hydrating treatments for dry or irritated skin

• extractions to clear current breakouts

• LED Light Therapy to help kill bacteria & calm redness and irritation
