Collagen you build over time.
Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel carrier. The gel gives you lift and structure the day of your treatment. Over the following weeks, the microspheres signal your body to make its own collagen and elastin.
That is the difference from hyaluronic acid filler. HA filler holds water and adds volume. Radiesse adds support and then keeps working on the skin itself.
Think of your face like a house. Radiesse is the foundation. HA filler is the walls. If the foundation has started to settle, putting up more walls won't fix the lean. What to expect
1. Consult
We look at your face, talk through your goals and decide if Radiesse, HA filler or both make sense.
2. Treatment
Typically takes about 45 minutes. Biostimulator injections are administered into areas of the face such as the temples, cheeks, and smile lines to stimulate collagen production, strengthen and tighten the skin, and naturally address volume loss. A series of three treatments is typically recommended. Results can last from 12 months to 3 years.
3. Right After
Some swelling, tenderness or bruising is normal for a few days. Schedule treatments 2 weeks before important events.
4. The weeks after
You see the lift right away. The collagen piece builds gradually. Most patients require 2-3 treatments 3-6 months apart for full results
